that shouldnt be an issue, but be sure you find a good place to do it. The little black dots at the top of the glass can look really bad if they dont do it right. I had both my Camaros done at different shops and I regretted it both times.
Only potential problem occurs if and when you want to remove the tint. You have to be really careful not to mess up the defroster. As far as the dots, if you have a good shop do it and then you manually work at pressing the film around the dots for the first week or so, even that shouldn't be a problem.
If I tint the back glass will I still be able to use the rear defog without deforming the tint.
Thanks Steve
It is actually good when first tinted to run the defroster to help the tint adhere itself to the window. The defroster will never be an issue with your tint. No need to worry about that.
My problem is I have YET to see in 3 years a C5 coupe rear glass with a tint job that would pass my personal test for quality. No one can seem to tint this window good enough to satisfy me. I am probably just too picky but until I see one that is good enough, I guess I will not have mine tinted.
The dot matrix design at the upper portion of the glass along with the concave design make this window a bitch to do right.
Yes If you remove the tint you may damage the defrost. My car was used and since it was a GM cert they stripped the tint and ruined my defrost. I had to do alot of "painting" using conductive paint in order to repair the broken areas. What a pain in the butt and I had to use a razor blade to clean up the patches. Now it doesnt match back there but when I get yet another layer of tint put on it'll hopefully be covered.

FYI TO ALL : Used to be true Joe, but nowadays, if they do it right i.e. Use a steamer when removing, the defroster lines can be saved.
