Default car cover question/issue ?

I finally bought my dream car ! new 04 triple black MN6 vert....I purchased a NOAH car cover to keep the car out of the UV rays and to keep it clean on the days that I drive it to work.....what I'm finding when I remove the cover, is a "smudging" effect is left all over the car and windshield. This is a real bummer especially after I wash the car and then put the cover on to protect it ! I've tried washing the cover and then letting it air dry....still getting the "smudging" any suggestions?By the way...the "smudging" will wipe off with a cloth, but what a hassle !

I have a Noah and it seems to do the samething depending on how long it has been covered. My Corvette is a garage queeen and could go a month on occasion. I have had other brand covers on an older Vette I had and some other cars and they all did the samething, mostly on glass.

I have a Covercraft Weathershield cover that is very well-made, tight-fitting, compact and can be washed in a home machine and it doesn't have a smudging problem. I originally ordered a Noah and when it arrived, I sent it back immediately because it felt somewhat harsh and reminded me of the cover I had on my TA which had the same smudging effect.

The Weathershield is an expensive cover but definitely worth it to me.

Btw, congrats on the new vert!

This is the first I've heard on the smudging effect of the Noah fabric, but then I've never owned a cover made with Noah. Hopefully someone here that owns one made of Noah can provide you with some helpful suggestions. I have one made from the EVOLUTION 4 fabric that I'm very pleased with. Good luck and hope you get the problem resolved.

I too have the Covercraft WeatherShield. I just put it on for the first time tonite because the vette will be parked till next week.

There is a note thats says airborne pollutants may be deposited on the window and paint when the car is driven or parked uncovered. These deposits may become smeared and create a haze when the cover is used.

I represent many fabric suppliers, and sell different brands of needle- punched-non woven fabrics. Most are made of polyester material which is synthetic and may leave what you describe is a smudge. This will disappear with use as the fabric breaths and the manufacturing process leaves the material. My opinion, for what it is worth, is the original material, Evolution, is still the best non-woven for car use that Kimberley-Clark produces. It is stiff, but the more you use it the softer it becomes. No good cover will scratch our finishes.
