Big box 0'Zaino
1) Zaino is THE wax!

2) Wash the car with a strong cleaner safe for clearcoats (diluted simple green works) and ensure the car is VERY clean and well rinsed off. This ensures that the surface is bare.
3) Dry thoroughly
4) Apply the Zaino prep very thinly and let it sit for about 10 mins. Do not wipe off.
5) Apply the Zaino wax uniformly (doesn't have to be very thick either) and let it sit for ~ 1 hour.
6) Use a clean terry cloth and lightly brush back and forth over the paint to remove 95% of the wax, rotating to a clean portion occasionally (the wax is very sticky when it builds up and can deposit so keep the cloth moving by sweeping at the edges). Get a fresh terry cloth and then you can remove the remaining 5%.
IMO, you should then come back and apply at least one more coat of Zaino on the horizontal surfaces.
Always ensure you are working with very clean cloths and applicators and there is absolutely no need to apply a lot of pressure when applying or removing the wax. Waxing the front and back glass is a great idea.

Heeey Pedro, I live in Pembroke Falls at Sheridan by I-75. I am doing the claying today along with all the other steps. Gonna take all day I think. Silver lakes is very nice. Where do you live now?

Here's how I did mine, for a deep, liquid finish and silky smooth:
1. Wash car in Dawn. Do it good.
2. Use Bug & Tar remover where needed.
3. Claybar car with Zaino Claybar. It's easy. Just make a simple solution of a little Z7 Wash and water, to use as a lubricant on the claybar. Rub car down lightly with claybar, squeezing it and turning it inside out frequently. Get the finish all nice and smooth.
4. Wash car again with Dawn.
5. Let it dry overnight.
6. Apply a coat of Z5. This is the scratch & swirl cover. Let it dry 1 hour and remove as directed above in another post.
7. Spray down lightly with Z6.
8. Apply next coat of Z5. Let it dry and remove.
9. Spray down with Z6.
10. Apply coat of Z5. You may or may not need this one. I needed a total of 4 coats of Z5 to make my swirls vanish because some dumbarse used a buffer incorrectly on my car. Let it dry and remove.
11. Spray down with Z6.
Now, this is all you can do in a day because even with the accelerator, you're only supposed to do 3 coats in 24 hours. So, let it sit overnight.
Next morning:
1. Start in with Z2. This is the 99.98% optically perfect finish coat. Let it dry and remove.
2. Spray down with Z6.
3. Apply Z2. Let it dry and remove.
4. Spray down with Z6.
That should get you a rock solid application of Zaino that will look incredible and last a very long time. I did a total of 4 coats of Z5 and 3 coats of Z2 on mine. Always wash with Z7, and spray down with Z6. You'll only need maintenance applications of Z2 every 4 or 5 months, unless you get something yucky on the car, then it might take a coat or 2 of Z5 followed by Z2.
It took me 3 days total to do my car. It was a labor of love and the results have gotten me more comments on the finish than anything else I could have done. You don't have to take this much time and do that much work, of course, to get good results with Zaino, but if you want the very best possible liquid finish...take your time, do it right.

We live in Plantation, real close to 595 & University Dr.
Pembroke Falls is beautiful.
Good luck with your claying. You'll be pleased with the results.

The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
When it finished i tried the Ntx (or whatever its called). It was nice and easy. did the 99 pewter with it. thought it looked great, now i needed to do the 93 Aqua metalic.
I noticed a huge difference! with the zaino, it made it darker, a deeper blue more luster, you can almost see all the metal flakes in the paint.
With the ntx it looked like a shiny aqua more green than blue, couldnt really see the flakes.
I was very disapointed and i will be going back to the zaino!!!

I have used several bottles of Zaino for the first 6 months of Corvette ownership. I recently bought a box of Meguirs NXT. It is OK but does not compare (IMHO) with Zaino. You have to put more effort into a coat of Zaino . . . . no pain no gain.
I love Zaino products. They do a better job for me on my 04 CE Lemans Blue
