Congrats!

Yep, replace those tires. Personally, I can feel a difference in my car's handling when the tire pressure differs by more than 3 or 4 psi in the tires. Maybe I'm imagining it, I don't know...but it just "feels" different. Mine is lowered and has the Z51.

Welcome aboard and congratulations on purchasing the best bang-for-the-buck sports car on the planet! Dump those tires and pick up a set of Goodyear GS-D3s in stock sizes (tirerack.com) or upgrade to Z06 rims & tires (readily available here in the C5 Parts For Sale section). You'll be going to non-run flats but the improved ride is worth it AND you can pick up a small tire inflator for insurance. Enjoy the new car!

I purchased my first vette in April and share the same 'I can't believe it' thoughts that many of you expressed in the replies. I can't believe that any other car (under $50k) can create these feelings.

Welcome! Use the forum for all questions and research prior to doing anything. Don't get scared off by the guys who continually do mods and spend lots of money. After all, it's a vette and is great without any mods. But..you'll need to replace the stock exhaust. That's the rules. Sorry.

PS: The only mod I've dome is to replace the stock exhaust. I was the greatest move! The car sounds awesome!

Don't forget the wave.

hey- congrats and good luck

I got my 98 two months ago, I traded a 91 C4.

I think you'll find as you get used to the vette it handles a lot better than you think. ( But get correct tires)

Sometimes it's ability to take turns at high speeds amazes me.

But I have no experience with F bodies.
