Well, looks like Hurricane Charley's headed right for our front door. It is rated as a Category 3 hurricane. They are expecting 80,000 residents around the Tampa & St. Pete areas to evacuate by 6:00PM tonight.
Rev Xtreme will be closed tomorrow (Friday, 8/13/04), and we'll hopefully be back live on Saturday. We apologize for any delays or inconveniences this may cause.
Dan, Best wishes. I hope everything works out well. BTW, I have a flight that is scheduled from the West Coast to Ft. Lauderdale, with an expected arrival of around 9:00 pm Friday night. What do you think my chances are of making it? Thanks.
It doesn't look good. We're expecting the eye of the hurricane to hit Tampa Bay in the afternoon Friday. They're expecting 14ft tidal surges starting tonight. Traffic around the major interstates are already packed with cars, and the flights leaving Tampa are booked solid. Being from SoCal myself, and making it through the Northridge Quake, I'm getting the chills just thinking about what's coming tomorrow. Luckily, I live 30 miles inland, but we will have a full house tonight with friends crashing the night.
Tell you what, it feels like Santa Ana winds right now, except with dark clouds moving in....very weird! Maybe it's time to head back to Cali?
Hey guys, be careful down there. 30 miles inland isnt that far with a hurricane that size. I have lived with these suckers as well and they are no fun. Especially the big ones...
BTW, stopped by the shop today and the tranny is finished....expensive but done
I dropped off the new clutch, slave, pilot and throwout bearings
The DTE Strut Brace came in today too
HIJACKER Glad you got it back in one piece. How long do you think it will last. I thinking of getting a pool together to see how long before something else brakes on the Mean Machine
OK, so maybe this is ONE time that I'm feeling better about being up here in Pennsylvania rather than in the sunny south.
But you'd better be sure that I'll still be pizzed at you guys come January and you post how "warm and beautiful" your weekends were for your 'vette rallyes while I'm putting BenGay on my back from shoveling!
But seriously, be safe down there!

I've played golf three days in a row now. I played golf during hurricane Floyd a few years back. First and only time I hit a 9-iron 200 yards. Of course upwind we had par 10s and 12s.

Did you try Zaino on your *****? Less resistance!
(Wait, that didn't sound right! )
