Default ***GP for GM Factory Cables***

***GP extended through Sunday, 08/22***

I've noticed quite a few folks that would like to hardwire their XM or Sirus into their stock Bose Headunit, but the price of the required cables is what seems to hold folks back on going through with it. (I know it's a factor for me...lol)

Well, after talking to Tuan, he has approved a GP on the required GM Cables. Due to the price that GM charges vendors for these parts, there is not much room to lower the price of the actual parts. However, Tuan is willing to provide FREE Shipping and Handling on these orders. We only need 5 people to take advantage of this offer. So what are you waiting for? Stop worrying about bleedover/static from your FM Modulator, and get hooked into your AUX button RIGHT NOW.

For those w/a Coupe or Vert w/factory CD Changer in the trunk, you will need part # "GM10-AUX".

For those w/a Z06, or a Coupe or Vert w/out the factory CD Changer, you will need both part # "GM10-AUX", as well as part # "GM_COR_HAR".

https://www.litewarehouse.com/catalo...aeaa7e124598c1

Allrighty folks. That concludes this Public Service Announcement. We now return you to your regularly scheduled programming.

(So go order. Go on. You know you want to. It's okay. Just do it. Go. Now.)

Interesting, but it looks like you would need one more adapter. The GM aux10 has RCA cables and the jack on my Roady is a small headphone jack. I would need something to mate these 2 right?

Is there a GM adapter that has the headphone style jack output already in place?

You'll need to get a "Y" adapter that goes from headphone style to RCA cables, which can be picked up at any electronics store. Otherwise if you had the XM commander you'd use RCA to RCA.

I'm obviously in as well. So, we have 2 confirmed. We only need 3 more. I know lots of folks wanna get them, but they are on the fence due to the price. Doesn't get much better than this though.

See if they will give you credit for me, as I bought from them because I saw a lot of other members ordered from them in the past. I ordered both of these cables just hours before the GP possibility came to light. Maybe then you will only need 2 more.

Is this GM10 adapter the one that requires your multi disc player to run constantly in order to use the AUX input, or will the disc changer be completely disconnected?

if he wants i can hook him up with a buddy who does gm cables and is approved to by delphi connectors.Might be able to get his cost down to mke the harness affordable.all we will need is one set to ring out and test for a test harness and it would be returned.

The GM10-AUX hooks from your CD Changer harness into your Xm Commander. With this setup, your factory 6 disc changer is inoperative. You are basically bypassing the changer, and just replacing it w/the XM. You will access the XM same as you used to for the Disc Changer. (ie : press your AUX button on the headunit). You will still have full use of your am/fm as well as your indash cd or tape player (depending on what you have indash).

It is the lessor of the evils. I don't care for trunk mounted changers, and would rather have excellent sound quality from my XM. (And, I can still listen to CD's, just one at a time, instead of having the cartridge in the trunk).

OK count me in.

How does the GP work? Do I just go to the site and place my order now or do I need to mention the GP somewhere on the ordering site?

If you order on the site, make mention of "GP Corvette Forum" in the remarks. I think the automated system still charges you the shipping though, so Tuan would have to adjust it later. It will probably be easier to call him on Monday at the shop. That's what I plan on doing.

Thanks to IWANTMYC5 for making the post. Just to make it easier for everyone, I will have the S/H fee refunded on all cd-changer harness and/or GM10-AUX adapter orders up until next Sunday 8/22. This way, I can have the orders processed & shipped out as they come in and we wouldn't have to wait for the last person. (I will have quiksilver's S/H fee refunded as well.)

The S/H fee will show up when you order. I will have it refunded before the charge is sent to your credit card. Thanks guys, I appreciate your business. Let me know if there is anything else I can do to help. Have a wonderful weekend.

Thanks for the kind words, Mike.

Your cd-changer does not have to be connected. The GM10-AUX adapter plugs into the end of your cd-changer wiring harness and converts it over to RCA input. From there, you can just hook up any devices with audio out.

Default Further Explanation Required

I researched back and located this post. I have pretty much decided to add an XM Commander to both my 01 Coupe and 03 ZO6. I added a vertical CD changer to the ZO6 just like my coupe has. So if I read this post right, adding the GM10-AUX will disconnect my CD changer ---is that correct? Then do you have to use an FM modulator to use your CD changer or is it then obsolete? Is there no way to hard wire both? I assume the only reason you want to run the XM through the CD AUX is for reception and perhaps improved sound quality?

I would appreciate anyone willing to revive this dead dog and provide me with some additional info on the topic. Looking to add the XM this week sometime. I prefer to do it myself too as I don't trust any of the Audio shops around here and their teenage helpers with my car!
