Kuhmo Runflats??
How are the Kuhmo runflats? My michelin pilot sports are getting low, and I was thinking of going to the kuhmo! Haven't decided on whether I want the runflats or the others! If the runflats are good, it would be nice, since I go to the beach often. I got a nail in my michelins at the beach a couple years ago, and I had to buy a whole new tire at the beach! That hurt!! Also, what is the widest tire I can fit on the stock wheels, without causing problems! Thanks Jason
Kumo's are the best bang for little dollars. I'm on my 2nd set on my daily driver and they are great in all kinds of weather. I have the non runflats on the DD.
I've got the mx's on the back, non-runflats and the runflats on the front, so far no complaints with either tires, but i've only had the fronts for one week

Why did you mix the runflats with the non-runflats?
Anybody with all kumho runflats and opinions on ride quality!! Thanks guys for the replies!
I have them on all corners. Drive great....good traction and stick on the wet roads. I will buy them again. I have these on for approx. 1 1/2 years. I can't tell you if they are quieter than anyother tires as the Borlas sound gets in the way
Somebody sajd Kuhmos are the most bang for the buck. What kind of money for a set of Kuhmo runflats?
On TireRack, a set of Kuhmo runflats in stock C5 sizes runs $782, and the non-runflat version runs $622 for the set. Of course you still have to pay someone to mount and balance them for you, so that will cost a little more.
I bought a set of Yokohama run flats from Tire Rack a little over a year ago and the tires are all I expected. Reasonably quiet, great handling and traction wet or dry. A little pricey though. The Kuhmo run flats appear to be a good deal and I might consider them next time I need tires. Tire Rack will ship the tires either to you or a place of choice freight allowed and no state sales tax. The sales tax amount will pretty much cover the cost of mount and balance. Remember to buy the road hazard option. I bought mine from Tire Rack before they offered it, at least on the Yokohamas at that time. TR worked well with me however, one replace free and the other 1/2 price. Both were rear tires with less than 5k miles on them. They are great folks to deal with.
One question of the Kuhmos - - - - what is the tread width in inches?
Does not show on the chart. I run stock sizes and did not buy Firestone or Michelin because the tread width was less than that of the
Yokos and the dreaded GY's.
Thoughts of all of you in Florida - - - - Hope you came through OK.
We here in Houston understand the hell you are going through at this time!!!!!!

I got a set of Kuhmo's a month ago. Best move I ever made .. what a difference over the GY's... I can have a conversation in my vette. I was gonna get the Mx's but I live in bad weather country and the guy talked me into ASX's . about the same price .. but with a 30,000 mile warrenty... 30,000 can beat that .. I told him I would see him next year for new ones on the warrenty .. get the All Seasons . they do a heck of a job
