I know this has been asked before, but is everyone happy with it?
Is the quality there?
Is there a consensus on this shifter versus the kirban or bpp?
I know lapd's price of $155 seems great.
Anyone not happy with the hurst?
Thanks
I have the hurst it is the way Chevy should of done the six speed. The install instructions are simple to follow and all I can say is it's one of my favorite mods.
Changing to the Hurst Billet Plus shifter was the first mod I did to our 2004 convertible at 1500 miles. It made a huge difference. The shift throws are 35% shorter and you can really tell it. It just feels so much more solid than the factory shift toy.
BTW, the second mod was Borla Quad Round Stingers at 1700 miles. After you start shifting better, you will want to sound better.
When I sold my modded 99 (with a Hurst) and bought a 03 Z I could have chosen any manufactures parts/accessories. After 3 years of daily use in my 99 the Hurst was the only shifter I considered.

Exact same mods and sequecne I did Great minds think alike.
Yes, absolutely!! I love mine! But, be sure to put locktite on all the
retaining scews. If they happen to move in on you, they could prevent
you from getting it into gear. Again, just apply locktite and you'll be fine!
Other than this, great mod!
I was wondering the same thing. Used Hurst back in the 60's & 70's. GM still can't make a decent shift linkage. Gonna move that mod up to the front burner. Thanks for input, it will save me researching also.
I can understand . . . I am going to Corvettes of Carlisle and will shop
I have heard great things about every one of the after market shifters. I see that the Breathless has the options to configure the shift lever to some degree. Not sure how important that issue might become. I am not motivated by price . . . interested in the best I can buy . . . except the one which I saw for $500
Has anyone had any experience with the Breathless shifter

I have the Breathless one on order. When I get it and get it installed, I'll post all about mine. I was looking at the Hurst as well. I decided to try out the BPP because of the extra adjustability.
