Default Got my Kuhmo's installed. Question:

Just got my MXs installed about an hours ago. I just ditched the GY EMTs. The ride and noise is exponentially better! However, I'm not sure they look as good. The GYs sidewall seemed to angle in toward the rim. The MXs are more "bubbly"; making the tire look bigger. I've always thought that a thinner sidewall looked more aggressive. What do you Kuhmo owners think of the astetics of your tires. Am I just being petty?

It could also have to do with the design requirements for the EMT sidewalls. I've got Kuhmo's too, I think they look fine!

I am about to buy a set of the Kuhmos, and I heard that they flare out a little around the wheel rim to protect the wheel is that true? I hope so, I had some Firestone Firehawks on my C4 that did that and I really liked it, and it also prevented any possible curb rash on the wheels.

That's exactly what they do. When I first looked at them, it sort of gave it a 4x4 look. The more I see them though, the more I get used to them. I just took them out for a spin in the twisties and I couldn't get them to break loose. I love the performance! I'm still getting used to the looks.

I've got Firehawks and I like that curb protection feature, also and they look good.

I like the look of my MX especially the big outer tread blocks. Did you replace with the same sizes. I replace with different sizes on Z06 wheels.

Anyone have a picture that shows this effect? I am seriously considering these as replacements for my runflats. Thanks!

I checked out TireRack and they have a pretty good shot of it because you can blow the picture up to full screen size. I think it looks great.

Did you get the run-flats and did you get them locally or did you have them shipped here?

Right. See in this picture how much "bubblier" it looks than your stock GY? I've gotten used to it now, so I'm not sweatin' it quite as much, but I still give the looks to the run flats.

HOWEVER, I can not express enough how much better the non-run flats perform and sound. It really is night and day. I thought some of the forum members were just being picky, but they really are astoundingly different. Ask me again when I have a flat!!
