Can someone please tell me where I can find some Black letter kits for the front plate and rear facia? All I have been able to find are the stainless steel ones and I am not sure how that will look on my Millenium Yellow Vette.
I got mine from here: http://www.reflectiveconcepts.com/index.htm
I don't have the color combo you described but I like how they look and the fact that they're reflective at night.
Corvette Accessories Unlimited has some low-cost vinyl lettering that might be interesting if you want to try it, see how it looks before going with the more expensive pieces. I have MilYellow, and personally think that black is the classic contrast for our color.
I have the stainless ones on my MY Coupe and they look great! I have had many great compliments about them. I have seen someone with black letters and it is a nice contrast with the Yellow.
Try Mid America or Ecklers. Have the black acrylic letters on my '03 MY Coupe and they look great. Sorry no photos - still haven't figured that process out yet!
I bought the black polyurethane letters for $29.99 from MidAmerica to replace the black vinyl ones that just kept coming off. They stick much better than the vinyl and they also "fill in" the area better than the very flat vinyl ones. I have been very happy with them. I would love to see black anondized metal ones similar to the SS ones.
You could consider painting in the letters also (very cheap and easy to do) but that is a very permanent mod...
I tried Eckler's, Mid America, etc.... but found the best quality from West Coast Corvettes. They may not be the cheapest, but you get what you pay for.
I put the Carbon Fiber letters on my MY Vert and love them. These are the same as the Brakelight Red letters that you get from Mid America or Ecklers. Here's a pic:

Tim - I really like the way the C.F. letters look on your car!
I've had the brakelight red letters from Ecklers for almost 8 months and I've had no problem with them staying put! The key to all of them, whether they're SS Inserts or the acrylic ones, or these, is surface prep.
I use 3M adhesive/wax remover on a Q-tip to "paint" the surface, wipe down with water and a micro-fiber and they are on to stay. We've had some 115 degree days in Phoenix this summer and on a black car like mine, you'd think if they were going to fall off it would be in conditions like I'm describing. No problems at all!
