Default Vert top protection

After reading the results of the survey on use of vinyl/rubber protectants and seeing the overwhelming vote for 303 Aerospace, I decided to order some. I found they also make a Vert Top cleaner and protectant (fabric one for C5). I've used Ragg Topp for a lot of years and it seems like a good product, but its always been on tan or white tops. Just got my Black Beauty with a black top and expect a lot more heat and UV adsorption. The QUESTION is: to use 303 or RT?

I just used RaggTop on my Shale top. First treatment they recommend 3-4 coats, and I think I used an entire can of protectant doing that.

The top seems to come with what seems to be a pretty good protectant from the factory. The water beads nicely on the new top. I noticed the Raggtop cleaner "cleaned" that off, so I'm hoping Raggtop is really good stuff!

I just used the ragtop cleaner and protectant on my shale top as well. The cleaner definately took the old protectant off. I put on 3 coats of the protectant as directed. My only complaint is that after only two weeks the water no longer is being repelled. Anybody else have this problem with the ragtop brand protectant?

P.S. When they say be very careful not to get any of the protectant on the paint or windows, they really mean it. It's a son of a gun to get off. I even tried to get it off immediately. Next time, everything will be covered with newspapers and taped.

I have the vinyl white top. No issues here. But if I had the fabric top I would definitely use the Raggtopp protectant.

I had a microfiber towel ready to wipe down the overspray. No problem with wiping it off of my freshly polished paint, or the windows.

If Raggtop only lasts 2 weeks, I'm sorry that I put it on mine now. The OE coating was still beading the water and my car is 4 months old (today!)
