Crazy crotch rocket

I had one try to do it to me on a major highway in the DFW area. I could see him going into a wheelie about 100 feet behind me, obviously planning to blow by and impress me... Trouble is he lost balance right next to me and had a handfull to control it... I wasn't impressed. He kept on going without looking back. I was doing my normal 70 so he must have been doing 100 or more the way he was closing.

The stupidity of some of these folks and their "crotch-rockets" is amazing. I'm of the opinion that if they want to kill themselves, FINE! They should just run off a cliff somewhere. The thing that REALLY PISSES ME OFF is that these idiots are putting everyone at risk by behaving the way that they do on public roadways. If they need help finding a cliff, I'd be glad to tell them where to go!!!

About a year ago, an idiot was riding wheelies with his other idiot buddies in New Orleans at about 80+ and one of the guys hit a car, caused a big cycle pile-up. One or two died on the bikes. The families tried to blame it on the surrounding cars and were all over the news. All wheelie riders involved were dumber than dirt and were culled accordingly.

Is there a "crotch-rocket" forum where we could post a link to this????? (That would really get them fired up)!

Never had it happen to me. In traffic is not exactly the place to be doing wheelies while going 70 MPH.

I was with my wife in the family sedan and had one pull on to the Interstate and ride along side for 1/2 mile with the wheel up. I slowed and he got tired and roared off.

I used to be one of those riders. Not in traffic though. But with that much wide, flat, open highway, a group of friends, with 150 RWHP + 400 lbs, all it takes is a solid whack of throttle in 2nd gear @ 60 MPH and up she goes. It gets real addicting. But too many friends got hurt or even killed, plus more idiots now giving a bad rep, it was not a hard decision to make after 8 yrs of sportbike riding.
Besides, it was time to move on and get a real ride.
