Just bought my first Vette!!!

I can't believe it is finally happening. I've wanted a Corvette since I was 12. I'm now 42. One thing or another has kept me from purchasing my dream car and it is now finally a reality. It was worth the wait and I am now in la-la land.Granted, it's not a brand new one but it's new to me. Here's what I got...
2000 triple black Vert w/ the following options:
AAB - Memory Package
AG1 - Power 6-Way Driver Seat
AG2 - Power Passenger Seat
AQ9 - Sport Seats
B84 - Body Side Moldings
CJ2 - Electric Dual Zone Air Conditioning
G90 - Rear Axle 3.15 Ratio
JL4 - Active Handling
N37 - Steering Column; Pwr Telescope Man Tilt
QF5 - Polished Alluminum Wheels
T82 - Twilight Sentinal
T96 - Fog Lamps
UN0 - Stereo System Delco-Bose with CD
UV6 - Head Up Display
Z51 - Performance Handling Package
I believe I've got all options save F45 Electronic Selective Real Time Damping. It's one sweet ride
It's got 31k on the clock. Brand spanking new Goodyear runflats (I know, I know, runcraps but still), a new battery, new brake pads, recently turned rotors & Lloyd's mats.
And to top it all off... my awesome wife bought it for me.
These forums are the best on the net with some great people and tons of great info. Thanks guys and gals. Now if I can just keep away from that nasty old mod bug I should be alright.

The owner had just received the CLB recall. I called to make an appointment on that today and they told me they were on back order. Haven't heard back from them and since I called this morning, I guess I need to put in another call this afternoon.
Only other issue I saw was the danged gas gauge problem. Had a half tank in it when I left the owner's house and 35 miles later, saw the check gages light on. Wondered what was up and looked down and saw the gas gauge on E. Hadn't noticed it while on the highway as I was paying attention to the HUD and my wife following me.
I've got a 72K/7 year extended warrentee so I should be covered on that as well or no? Haven't read on here whether or not Chevy would fix that. Probably not huh? Will try the Chevron Techron and see if that cures it.
Anyway, I have always seen others ask to see pictures of new guys' Vettes so here's mine from earlier today before I went out cruisin'

I'm now on my second C5, a slightly upgraded manual, and to quote an English expression (yeah, sorry, I'm a brit, but at least my future son in law is from Iowa) I'm like a pig in sh*t.
Enjoy your car
Welcome to the forum! As a fellow 'newbee', I can tell you this forum is the best place for knowledge, info, advice, opinions, etc. Use it before you do anything or buy anything. You can find recommends AND PRACTICAL EXPERIENCE for everything. I reasearched what dusting tools to buy, what wax, what polish, what tire shine, what wheel cleaner, what dash protectant, microfiber vs. terrycloth, what leather cleaner, what exhaust, etc...You get the picture.
TOP DOWN!!!! HANDS UP!!!! ENJOY THE RIDE and DON'T FORGET THE WAVE! Best of luck! Ed
PS: Black is beautiful but shows every little scratch. My is going in for a full buff out later this month. Can't wait to see the results!
