Vararam Install tips/suggestions?
I will also post this in the Tech section, but thought I might get more visibility here. Anyway, sometime between now and Carlisle, I will be installing my Vararam intake. I've seen a number of members here say they love the intake, but that the install directions aren't the most comprehensive (however, all I have heard say that have also said their customer service by phone is outstanding!). So, anybody got any tips or suggestions, or better yet, developed a set of nice, clear concise install directions?
I didn't think the instructions were too bad but I had already looked at their web page instructions and it looked pretty straightfoward. I've done so much work on the car that I'm familiar with what's where in the nose of the car so there were no surprises. In fact, I've had the front fascia off before to install screens and fog lights but this install doesn't call for pulling the fascia.
If I were going to do it again, I'd take my fascia off and save myself an hour or so and several scratches. I'd also not have invented those new cuss words.
Really, it's not that bad as long as you take your time and have a bit of patience. You can always post here or shoot me an email if you run into any snags.
This was an early mod for me - I thought the instructions were pretty straight forward. I think I'm reasonably capable but certainly no mechanic and I had no problem following them.

Gotta Say a big THANK YOU to Patches for hooking me up with the link, and to ZBRA for his meticulous effort to document installation of the Vararam intake. I got done by myself in about 4 hours, with a couple breaks to watch some Olympic volleyball (those beach volleyball swimsuits just keep getting smaller and smaller, but who am I to complain? ?).
