do you have to reset the computer after oil change?
Interesting. I don't see why you Have to reset the oil count down. If your under warranty, it would be a good idea though. Who knows if the computer logs this stuff.

You don't Have to do anything. If you don't reset it though, it will be continually chiming and give you a "CHANGE OIL NOW" indication on your DIC each and every time you start it up and each time you shut it down. Not sure why you don't see why anyone has to reset it. The computer has absolutely no way of knowing when anyone changes their oil.
As far as "the computer" logging this stuff goes, here again, how's it know? I mean the only recording factor that I know of is a record of your speed, seat belt usage, brake application info, traction control status, abs status, etc and that's only for the previous 30 seconds. That info can be used in the event of an accident.
