I took my 99 Coupe with Auto trans in last week for the 04006 recall.
It seems to be allright except that now when I turn the ignition key off the odometer stays on for about 30 seconds or more. I called the dealer and they said as long as it goes off eventally and don't stay on that it's ok.
Has anybody else had that experence?

Thanks for posting this. I am on the fence about having the recall done vs. buying the new harness from GM (i.e., the new GM-made CLB) and doing a "partial" recall job myself. I can't use the common aftermarket CLB without problems since I have a '98.
Besides the loss of a day's pay, I am very concerned about what damage the dealership might do and how the car might behave differently after I get it back. After poor & costly experiences with two area dealership service departments (who were outright clueless when it came to Corvettes) I prefer to deal with as much as possible by myself.
