Default Possible warm driver/cold passenger A/C Solution?

A/C has worked fine all summer. Two days ago, driver's side air slowly warms up, but I could reach over and feel cold air on passenger's side (so I knew it wasn't refrigerant or compressor).

I looked at other threads, and did the following:

- checked codes - NO codes set
- pulled fuses 23 and 27 in footwell, went to pull #17 under the hood, and NO fuse in that position - (not used in a '97?) So, I pulled #18 (BCM) This was a PITA - next time, I will just disconnect the battery
- started up, still got warm air on driver's; turned OFF A/C
- shut off, went into diagnostics - now, TWO codes were set
- I hit reset, and I could hear the actuator motors cycling through. I had to experiment, but this is what ended up working:

- After hitting reset while in HVAC, I let the first actuator go through its cycle.
- When the second actuator started up, I counted to 4, and turned off the iginition
- VIOLA! It now works like a charm.

I had visions of modules, actuators, etc. going bad, but all is ok now.

Smart fellow. I doubt that I could have ever figured that one out.

I guess interrupting the actuator while in calibration mode sets it close to where it should be so it works fine.

I checked the individual settings (I have the dual control), and it all works ok....

I'm really glad yours fixed so easy! (well, sorta)

Mine was doing the exact same thing, and I of course had visions of electronic head replacements and other $$$$ nightmares. Then, it just quit blowing cold all together...took it to the shop. It was a CCMI?? valve and bad hose. They replaced both, charged the system, and now it works like a champ! $324.00....whew!
