I just drove a '00 with alomst 60k miles. Tight car, good engine, but when I engageed the clutch from a dead stop, right as it became fully engaged, there is a brief "metallic" sounding whoosh (maybe a slight rattle sounds as well, hard to describe) that came from the area around the clutch. Lasted about a second and a half.
Any ideas what that could be? I'm guessing throw-out bearing. It's the original clutch.
what do you guys thinnk about a vette with this many miles on it? what should i look out for?

My car sounds like this and has since it was new. With 60K on the clock, I would just try to make sure that the car has a good maintenance history. Have it checked out by a good mechanic too.
