Has anyone tried the liner sold by several vendors that fits inside the glass top and blocks some or all of the sunlight? They come either solid or with holes, any opinion on either?
I have the solid one and love it. You no longer can see out of it, but you don't look like a smurf either. It may take a few attempts to put it on and get the air bubbles out, but it's a good mod for 20 bucks

That was the very first "mod" I did to my '04 coupe, was to get a snap-in headliner from Mid America. If I wanna look up and be able to see out, I take the top off.
You can't believe how much cooler it is now in the hot sun. AND it gave the LS1 10 more horsepower to boot!

I bought a damaged top on ebay for $40.00 and had it painted body color. I don't use the other top any more. Mike
Well, come to think of it, maybe that's the way to go if you get this "crazing" problem. Don't think I could ever shoot paint on mine, but if it was toast anyway....

The glass top is great, but it sure does let the heat in during the summer. I think the liner you can buy would be a good addition to the car. The other alternative is to get a solid top. Getting the liner is a whole lot cheaper and it you don't like it, just take it off.
I have the liner with the holes--filters out heat and sunrays, but still lets in light with the clear top on. No problems with application or adhesion after 2 years. Acheap fix!
I hated the plastic and wanted more sound deading so I purchased a used one on E-Bay and put a black vinal top on it. I looks great with the Bowling Metalic Green color of my 2000. When I go home tonight I'll try to post a link where you can see it. I posted here before the site was redone so I suspect the pictures are gone.
I purchased one from Mid-America. It kept the hot AZ sun out, but after 1 year it warped and would fall down unexpectedly while driving. I McIvered a stabilizer bar for it and it stays in place now.
Has anyone tried adding extra tint to the Lexan top?
I wondered about that myself. I have dual tops and enjoy using the glass top during the summer months. It would be good to darked the glass top a bit and still have some sunlight.

I have the one with holes and have been happy with it. It keeps the interior much cooler. I had my back window tinted (the darkest tint available) and am thinking of having the top tinted also.

Same here, works great. Will be taking it off in a few weeks!
