Depends. Was the engine off for a while when you checked it?

Could just be it wasn't topped off when you got it. I'd bring it up to full then recheck it to see if you are consuming oil.

Maybe a little abnormal, but not completely.

LS1s burn a little oil. From what I've heard, they all do. Your consumption rate may be a little high, or the dealer/factory may not have filled it completely.

As you get more experience with the car, you'll get used to topping up the oil every few thousand mile. A small price to pay for an exceptional automobile...

Depends on how agressively you drive.

New engines usually burn some oil as the piston rings break in. Should not be a problem. Just keep a eye on the oil level for a couple thousand miles.

It will burn oil especially if you drive hard. Mine burns about a quart every 3K miles, then I change it so no harm done.

I'd watch it. If it drops to a quart in under 2000 miles, GM may do something. When I had my rings replaced for excessive oil consumption, it was using a quart every 1200 miles.
