I bop down to the local 76 station for gas, and then cruise up Pacific Coast Highway (I live by the beach) for the long way home. While sitting at a light, up pulls a lowered Mercedes S Class loaded with about 6, 20-something year-old gorgeous babes! I'm alerted to their presence by a loud honk as they pull alongside, and then whoops and screams. "Hey, I LOVE your car! I want you!" is hollered in my direction. Embarassed (hey, I'm a balding 47 year-old married dude with 2 kids) I sheepishly grin and turn their way. They all start practically hanging out the window and drooling on me, blowing kisses, etc. Damn, sometimes I wish I were single again! They were obviously out for the evening to party.

So what gives? I bought this car to go fast, not be bothered by gold-digging females.
I recently had an amusing experience along these lines. I am 46, married with two kids (thankfully not balding... yet).

I pulled into a pay parking lot during a street festival in a neighboring community. There was a very attactive women near my age collecting money for parking. She wore a tight, low-cut sweater and had the right qualifications to be wearing it

When I pulled up, she beamed a beautiful smile at me and walked over to my car and started chatting with me in a very friendly manner. After a bit, she leaned down and put her hands on my Z's door and pressed her, ahm.. "sweater" together.

So here I am, 12 inches away from some of the best cleavage I have seen in a long time. Needless to say, I'm like a "deer in headlights" I was just staring and stammering for a long while when I remembered that my wife was sitting next to me. :o

Lucky for me, my wife was a good sport and we both had a good laugh over it all.

One thing to keep in mind when these things happen. It aint you (or me), it's the car! But it's ok, I can live with that.

Ciao,

Rick

Don't flame me, but I have a vert, no Z06.... OHHHHH, that's why....it isn't a Z06

I don't get any ladies honkin' or waving at me.....what gives....I got more attention in my 94 LT-1????

I'm always workin', so that may have something to do w/ it????

Sounds like the beginning of a Penthouse Fourm letter. I envy you living anywhere near PCH. The powers that be made this road for the Z owner.

I never leave my car without locking it any more. When I would return, there was always some woman buck nekkid waiting for my return.

It was kind of cute at first, but after a while it gets annoying.

You should have expected nothing less than that reaction. You are driving one of the rides out there.
