how can i tell if my clutch went or it is the starter? my 1999 coupe will not start for me today, i doubt its the battery since everything still works-lights-power memory seats-cd etc....i thought it might be a pull key wait 10 sec deal, but i am not getting this message on the DIC or any other message...the clutch has been feeling very soft lately...any advice is greatly appreciated....
The clutch won't keep your car from starting. Just because you get signs that the battery is OK doesn't necessarily mean it is. If you're not getting any other indication on the DIC but you do get a clicking sound when you turn the ignition key then it's probably the battery. You can try a jump and if it starts then that's it. If the starter turns the motor over strongly but it won't start then the problem lies elswhere.
