Vararam installed, now she smokes...LITERALLY!!!
Got my Vararam installed today with the K&N filter. Started it afterward and just let it run for a bit. After a bit, I noticed smoke coming from the exhaust like on a cold day, but it was 75 outside. This is definitely NOT normal, at least to me. Checked the gauges, everything looked good, nothing on the DIC. All I can figure is maybe the smoke is from a little of the oil on the filter maybe being sucked in and burned. Anybody else have or heard of this happen? Any other ideas?
If indeed it is from your K&N filter and it is substantial enough to be seen out the exhaust, I would suspect that you have probably oiled your Mass airflow sensor which will affect your tuning. If your maf is oiled it will need to be cleaned.

I just put the filter in straight out of the box. Thought there was a good bit of oil on it, but not really all that familiar with it, thought it might be normal. So, how should I go about cleaning the sensor?
I would removed and inspect the MAF and airbridge thoroughly.
I have never experienced this issue but it stands to reason there would
be residue or evidence of the oil being pulled through these components.
