I bought my '04 Z06 on Nov. 25th of last year and as of today (8/24/04) have not even been pulled over by the locals much less gotten a ticket. What's even more amazing is, as you can see by the pic below, I tend to be (semi-agressive) on the majority of my launches.
I replaced the rear tires at 8347 miles. (Maybe another record?)
Now, I may be pushing my luck big time but I was just wondering what's the longest (or shortest) time between date of purchase and your first ticket for my fellow forum members.
Have fun and be safe~!!
Ps: And I've never even mounted my front plate. I'm really pushing my luck, I know.
You are pushing your luck now. I bought mine last Nov. and haven't been stopped yet. This is amazing considering my record and the fun I have with the vette.

I've had mine since April 17, 2004. Been pulled over twice (2 days in a row) and received one ticket, which was justified. Hopefully, I've learned to use my cruise control since then.

Gotta tell ya, on a couple of occasions, I"ve given in to forces of nature and have punched it on local roads, once on a freeway in the middle of town, up to 100...see, I had to pass this BMW whachmacallit and he made me go that fast...Same thing about 2 weeks later on a four lane expressway through town...
After the above events. I've thought about what would have happened had the cops stopped me and I get scared...:o I've had my Vette since May 30, 2004 and thankfully no tickets yet. I think I'm pushing my luck though. No front plate either...
Funny thing is, I'm a responsible citizen most of the time...52 years old and a high school teacher...you'd think I'd know better...
