I am looking to get my C5 painted Orange, and am wondering if there are any good paint shops around GA, especially anywhere around the Gwinnett area. Also, what should I expect to pay for a good paint job.
To start you off, I'll mention John at Corvette Country (770-461-5211). I've never had the misfortune to have to use him but I've heard great things about him. I did talk to him on the phone about a minor job once (which I had to put on hold) and he was very good to talk to - interested in hearing about the project. His specialty is more in restoration so he is very detail oriented. I've heard his shop mentioned by several folks int he SE section here. You may want to post this there and on the PSP forum and get a few more referrals.
Also, I'd really like to see this process as you go through it and I have a buddy who would love to see it as well. I'm in Canton and he's in Grayson, near you.
Hey guys, im in Norcross. I was too wondering about a good paint shop. Im thinking about painting the lower rear end of my torch red coupe to gloss black.

John does top notch work...we have been best buds for the last 18 years, I spend most my free sat. at his shop. I use to work for parts for he & his dad, only way I could afford Vettes back than, he has helped me build many vettes over this time. check out the yellow 95 on my homepage he painted it last year. tell him Steve sent ya
He & his dad build the Red 62-C5 that was on the cover of VETTE mag. last month...

Damn, was just thinking about the same mod the last week or so.
Looks good, and the fact that he is close makes it that much better. How long does the process take, and what does he usually charge to do the whole car?
