I posted a message the other day about a problem I was having with my temperature sensor. Thanks to the feedback, I was able to find the sensor, and replace the part. Unfortunately, the connector is completely corroded. I tried to buy a new connector, but they don't sell connectors ... it comes with the wire harness. I'm not gonna buy a whole new wire harness just to get one little connector. I'm going to try to "rebuild" the connector this weekend. Has anyone had success doing this? I'm open to other suggestions too.
You should be able to buy one of these at an auto parts store if you can't get your's cleaned up enough to work. Looks like a standard 2-pin Weatherpak connector. I've listed the info below. You can simply cut the existing one off and solder the new one in it's place.
Connector Part Information
Part number: 12052635
Type: 2-Way F Metri-Pack 150 Series (BLK)
Unfortunately when the temperature goes below a certain threshold, you can't run your air conditioner. I'm in Texas and I think I'm getting close to having a freakin stroke!
I'm going to stop at an auto parts store on my way home to see if I can pick one up. If I strikeout, I'll definitely email you a picture. Thanks a bunch.
dbirdhouse1, I couldn't agree more. I've known about this forum for awhile, but I just registered a few days ago to seek help to this problem. I'm blown away by the quality of the feedback and help I've received.
