I am really upset about this. Nobody smokes in my car! Of course there were only a couple of miles on my car when I bought it, but you would think that the dealer would never think of letting someone smoke in their new cars!
I was vacuming out the car and when I moved the drivers seat forward and then tilted it forward to vacum behind it, I saw this huge cigarette burn in the carpet. I just can believe that a salesmen would let someone test drive a vette and smoke in it. Or a salesmen or manager smoke in a new car. I just can believe that. Since there was no actual cigarette there they had to know that it happened because they had to move the seat to get the cigarette out!
Not to stick up for anyone.....I do work for a dealership in Milwaukee WI and you would be shocked at how many people do not have the common courtesy to not smoke, eat, chew, or smell up a new vehicle that they do not even own, I can assure you that if you had purchased this vehicle from me I would gladly repair/replace the entire carpet!! I am really sorry that this happened to you but these things can go un-noticed by your dealer in the prepping process. I can tell you if I EVER caught one of my salespeople smoking in one of the dealership vehicle's it would be the last thing they would do for the company!! Good luck and I hope they make it right for you
Push comes to shove, buy a floor mat and cut a patch out of it by cutting a circle slightly larger than the burn and then cut one the same size in the carpet. Glue it down and nobody will ever know (but you)!
