Default Racing an M3 today

I was on toll road out here in So.Cal today cruisin at about 70 and this punk 20 something, red freckled kid rolled up the on ramp in a late 90's M3. He merges in right next to me and immediately starts lookin over and nodding his head to see if I wanted go for a sprint. I caught him off guard when without hesitation I dropped down out of overdrive and dropped the hammer. My car roared as I watched him trying to keep up with me in my rear view. I lead him for about 100-150 yards before we caught up with too much traffic to safely manuver so I backed off and he ended up exiting. Do you guys think I could have taken him? Right now all I have is the Blackwing in my A4. I know a little about the M3's but don't know exactly how fast they are.

I think your headed for a lock down posting street racing stories...on this Forum.

At a drag strip you should be able to take an M3...

You should easily take an early 90's M3. As for the newer ones, it is driver dependant.

There is a rule about not posting street racing stories on the forum. I got crucified when I did it before I knew about the unwritten rule. M3's are pretty quick once they wrap but need high R's to generate their ponies. The late model E46 M3's are rated at 333 hp but the car is fairly heavy.

How do you know he was a "punk"? I personally think your a punk for engaging in street racing and bragging about it. My wife and kids are out there on that highway. As far as the forum is concerned, the position is, street racing stories are not appreicated or condoned.

Gunslinger suckering. Take the high road next time and he'll stay take the exit. And, you won't be losing your license for street racing.
