Default Coming Back

Well after a year and a half since selling my Vette I am in the market again.

I have tried a few different vehicles during that time but none seemed to give me the satisfaction and enjoyment that my 95 gave me. I have started looking at the 1998 to 2000 model year. Any things in particular to watch out for?

I spent some time reviewing post the last few days and to be honest this steering column thing scares the heck out of me.

Welcome back I wouldn't worry about the column lock issue other than to see if the recall has been completed on the 4006 campaign. If it hasn't, you will be notified sooner or later. Mine was taken care of about 3 weeks ago. Good luck finding the ride you want

Welcome Back No problems with my 2000, search the archives, you'll find lots of info (as you already know ) about some of the more common gremlins - the column lock, sending unit issues, seats moving and the infamous battery issues.....

Lets us know when you're back in the drivers seat

Only problem on my 2000 coupe is the blinkers went out....had to replace hazard light switch...other than that it tends to burn rear tires

I would recommend trying to find a '99 or '00 simply because of the options that are available on them. You can get active handling and HUD in those years. Look for any differential leaks, rocking seats, column lock problems. See if the owner has a good detailed maintenance history. And get one that has all the options you want - otherwise you may not be happy. Good luck with your search.
