Default Help on Skip Shift for CTS-V

Guys, a friend of mine just bought a sweet new black on black CTS-V (for his wife!). They can't STAND the stupid "skip shift" feature from 1st to 4th. I know there is something you can buy and install somewhere on C5s to stop this (mine's an auto). Can anyone here help with this? I haven't gone and looked for a CTS-V forum yet - mainly because I can't remember what this "feature" is called.

Thanks in advance!

There is a 10 cent resistor you can get from radio shack. It takes 2 minutes to get rid of the skip shift. I don't remember what resitor number it is. Someone will give it to you.

It is called CAGS which means computer assisted gear selection. There are several vendors that sell CAGS elinimators, like Corvettes of Houston, Xtreme Motorsports, West Coast Corvettes, etc. The CAGS Elinimator is about $20. I don't know for sure, but I assume that it will work on the CTS-V.....
