Wanted to let you all know that I just got my recall notice on that control arm issue. You should be getting yours soon.
I would call the dealer to make sure they have the parts in stock first. Since it is a recall they could be short of the necessary parts. Had mine done on Monday, took them 2 hours, so I was lucky. Some people have complained they had to leave their cars for lack of washers and bolts.

My condolences about your DDD (Dreaded Dealer Day). I just survived my ECL recall, tied up the car all day. Waist of time, meaningless CYA by GM, instead of a proper fix. Ordered a CLB today, but wanted to comply with their recall for warranty purposes. Mine's an 03 so I guess I dodged this bullet.

if it is any condolence you also got an upgrade on knock detection and fuel level readings.
"The 2000 FRC I did had the recall software but also had some updates for erratic gas gage and spark knock complaints, on a stock car it is a good deal"
Hey Dave, I took mine to Maroone in Pembroke Pines. They had the whole job done in about 2 hours. Nothing has fallen off yet! I would call them first though to make sure they have the parts in stock.
