To get any meaningful numbers, you need to shop around and get quotes from agents within your state. Insurance laws very by state and there are too many variables to try and deduce what your premium rates might be based on what others here on the Forum are paying. These many variables can include age, gender, marital status, driving record, liability limitations/requirements, collision and comprehensive deductibles, multi car discounts, homeowners discounts, and yes even your credit rating.

I know my Z28 was somewhat higher than a C5 of the same year/mileage...how much more would an 02 Z06 than a C5?
I know there's a lot of coupe to Z06 owners here...speak up!
Assuming: over 25 years of age, No accedents, No tickets, Married, good credit, yes I said goog credit and a number of other factors. This is what you may pay for full coverage in these states.
Approx.
New York L.I....$2000-$3000 per year
Florida ......$800 per Year
These numbers are with the same insurance company.
If your under 25 forget it, as much as 3 times more. I lived in N.Y. and now in Florida and moving to N.C. hope this helps you out.

Last time I asked for a quote from my insurance company, the two cars were not that far apart in terms of cost for the coverage. I was certainly surprised. I got my quote from USAA.

as i am interested in purchasing a c5 i checked with my ins co for rates. to go from an 87 buick gn with full coverage to a z06 was an additional $383.00 . less for a coupe. if you live in the north country and take car off rd in the winter pricing would be lower.best to check before you buy.get your quote in writing. higher deductables will be cheaper.your age will be the biggest factor. i am 58 so my rates are good.

Watch out for NC. mine doubled plus some when i moved from AL and nothing on my driving record had changed. It stayed the same when i went from GA to AL.
GOES TO SHOW IT ALL ABOUT LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION!!!
When I traded my '95 for my new '04 - insurance only went up $60 a year. Of course, I'm married and over 60 - so got the best rate.. BTW, this isn't my daily driver - so got the preferred rate..
Each state is different (as was said previously). When I lived in SC, insurance on this car would have been double what it's costing me here in Indiana. They seem to drive safer here than they do in SC (i guess)

Here in NC I pay maybe 50 bucks more for my 99 C5 than for my 99 Saturn. Super cheap. Got Allstate. Also, I am an old fart with a squeaky clean driving record, etc. The same coverage for the car in FL was hundreds more, so I based the Vette here.

If you don't mind me asking, what insurance are you using? I have all the above and am paying almost $1300 yearly for my 2004 Z. This is with Allstate.
One of the biggest factors is how you use the car. If it's your daily driver, it's going to be a lot more than if only used for pleasure. e.g., my 27 yr old daughter pays more for her Mazda 626 than I do for my Vette (a little over $500 for 6 mo.) However, I think she does have one at fault accident on her record.
