Having one installed in two weeks. Am planning on covering the nose (just below the headlights and hood), mirrors, behind front wheels, front & back of rear wheels, and rocker panels.
Have heard several forum members talk about covering the hood 12-18 inches up. Is that necessary or will the nose suffice (cleaner appearance with less notable lines)?
Is the consensus to cover the rocker panels as well?

Hope you enjoy your 3M product.I myself ordered a speed lingerie bra from the company yesterday i have been told they are great bras and some people from the car club i belong to also have them.Good luck in which ever you choose.
Once it's on you'll want it everywhere.
The front bumper, hood, Headlight Covers, behind the wheels, Fuel Door, Door handles, Front license plate cover, and Mirrors. Any place a rock might chip the paint, and anywhere you touch the paint.
Just remember to wax parallel to the edge so not to force wax under the edge making it lift, same with removing wax.
It's great stuff!
Tim
PS
It's almoust invisable! You have to look for it to see it.

I have a Speed Lingerie Bra on my 2003... fits and works good.
I also bought the mirror covers... I have yet to see a set of the mirror covers that fit correctly. There are several cars in my club that have them and they are ALL poor fitting.

Mine goes about 4" above the tops of the headlight covers. I have it on all the places listed above. I did the install myself.

Don't forget the sharp edge of the rocker panel where is starts rising behind the upcurve of the door. That gets sandblasted pretty badly. Not just the rocker panel, I mean actually take it around and over onto the door sill/door jamb panel to preserve that sharp edge.

I did that too. I also cut some 1" X 25" strips and did the ridges where your shoes scuff the sills.

It is called X-Pel 3M clear I would get the hood, fenders the whole front end including the headlights & foglights because those are the areas prone to damage from debris & pebbles etc especially on a low profile car like the Corvette. It has to be professionally installed.

Nope. You can buy it on their website and put it on yourself like I did.
