Here is something I found funny!
I was stopped at a stop light in my beauty, with the top down. This newer Cobra, trying to show off, "roared" passed my stopped car and backfired! I just laughed! 
I wonder if he tried to show off because I was a female in a Vette?

Was the light green or did he run it? His engine must be way out of tune. We used to make them backfire years ago by turning the ignition off then on while driving, but you can't do that with todays cars.

modded cars can do that. my LT1 did it, and i actually had the vette do it once too!

when im driving a little "spirited" I can get mine to back fire a little... ever since I got the headers and the exhaust i get the popping all the time...( I like it) but i also know how to get a loud POP if I want it...but then again, thats ONLY when I let off the gas...never on acceleration

You should have pulled up next to him at the next light and told him he shouldn't do that until at least the third date. My wife claims I didn't until after we were married but I know better. What 30 yrs will do to the memory!
