I just installed the Halltech Stinger, and like it. I've seen some post where people got engine mal-codes after the installation. I've gotten no "check engine" or anything on the DIC and have put 200 miles on the car since the install. Is it safe to assume that everything is working OK or do I need to check somewhere else for mal-codes? I like the Stinger, it fit and installed just as is was supposed to, the air bridge/throttle body couper material is kinda cheap, IMO, and there is alot of mass, from the throttle body to the filter hanging out there with no attaching points anywhere other than to the throttle body coupler. The filter also didn't come with any cleaning instructions or anything. All in all, for the GP price, seems to be a good deal.

Still waiting on my Halltech from the GP purchase.
Any tricks on the install? Anything I should know before i attempt to do it myself?
Good luck with it.
Just follow the instructions, didn't have any problems, there is a really slick coating, on the coupler and filter, that needs to be wiped off. It probably took me an hour + to do everything. You do need to print the install instructions from their web site, nothing comes with the Stinger. I ordered the Z06 red and installed the Z06 red fuel rail covers at the same time.
If your engine was running to lean (or is it rich?), and your PCM could not adjust enough for the increase air flow, you would get a check engine light. If you aren't, then you are fine.
I believe all of the issues with the Stinger have been with Z06's.
