I'm looking at an '01 C5 coupe that appears to be in pretty good condition. It's got the climate control a/c-heating where you set the temperature where you want it. That display also shows outside temperature.
The problem is that the display is so dim you can barely make it out in daylight. Has anybody experienced this problem with their C5 and would it be an expensive repair to fix it?

There have been a number of members post about this same problem. Seems like the common fix is to get a new head unit for the A/C. Not totally sure of the cost, but it is probably not too cheap to get unless you go used. Good luck - it may be a negotiation point if you really want the car.

Mine works fine - but with the top down and in direct sunlight, it's not bright enough to read. You might have some warranty left - if it's an '01. You'd have to check the in-service date and the you didn't state how many miles were on the car.
