Overspray on wheels
The previous owner oversprayed something on the front wheels of my 01 with polished aluminum wheels. It is either a tire gloss or something like armour-all. Soap doesn't remove it, wax does not remove it. My finger nail will take it off, but will take forever.
Any suggestions?
Is there a protective coat on the wheels? Would acetone work or would it remove any protective coat?

There is a clearcoat on the wheels. The claybar sounds like a good thing to try. Hope you get it off OK.
