Default Lifting car onto jackstands

Quick (maybe dumb) question...

What is the easiest way to get the car onto jackstands? If you use the jacking points to jack the car, how do you get the stands under them? Thanks in advance.

My method (not the only one or the officially approved one):
Drive onto boards to raise front wheels.
Jack up front using forward set of front cross members in the center(spanning both).
Place jack stands in correct location under second (rearward) set of front cross members.
Jack up rear at center of rear cross members.
Place jack stands in correct location under rear cross members.

That's it. I do it all the time, it works fine. By the way, I use a rubber mat on top of the jack platform.

Hey, it's never a dumb question, if you don't know or aren't sure.

You're welcome. Just be careful when you jack. Hint - make sure the jack can freely move along the ground (back to front) when you jack the rear, so that the car pivots on the front jack stands and doesn't try to push them over.
