Can one of you guys that have them post some more close-up pics? I'm expecially interested in seeing what they look like from the top down. From what I can tell, there seem to be some visible screws around the edge of the lens, want to see what these look like close up. Thanks!
don't know how much different the breathless performance ones are, that's what i have. you can't see the screws with the hood closed. don't know if the homepages are back up yet, i have more pictures there and at photohost.org.
Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaamn, now THAT is a fine looking vette! Now I'm convinced on the lights...and if you wanna post more pics of your car, I'd love to see them...
It's not nearly as strong of an argument for exposed headlights since 41 out of the 51 production years (80.39%) have incorporated concealed (flip-up/roll-over) headlights, and the past 41 production years of "heritage" (1963-2004) have consistently been built with concealed headlights.

I WAS born before 1963...
...kind of interesting that corvette heritage should begin in 1963...
...do you suppose people were saying that popups were a departure from corvette heritage then...
...seems corvette heritage is not to regard styling, at all, a part of what your calling corvette heritage...
Certainly, you can hold on to any part of what you think corvette heritage is...
...but I prefer to hold all the years and the rich heritage of nostalgic enthusiasm for the American cruiser...if for no other reason but that I was born in 1952...
If it were truly about styling, size, hp, et al...I wouldnt think of buying the C6...
peace

i really think i got ripped on the lights that are in mine. those specter works look waaay better. i'm thinking of removing mine and painting the inside a flat black though. what do you guys think? i'm not sure how they would look by themselves but if i added black CE strips, i think it would compliment them well. then again, the g/f wants me to just reinstall the original pop-ups.
They do have 8 visable screws that are flat black. I love mine
Here again I cant say I would do this to my vette...
...but this is "onebadvette03"
It is definitely a conglomerate of stuff I might not do to mine...
...and it IS a very cool looking vette...
Id probably do something similar but it would probably look horrible

Naw! I was born before 63 too and I remember everybody talking about how cool those popups were on the new Sting Ray. Now we get rid of them. Barf!
But us old-timers know that heritage was "Route 66" and the classic C1!
