It's not a saint. And it is a Chevrolet emblem not just the Corvette.
It's a fluer-de-lis ("flower of the lilis) and is French in origin just as Chevrolet is also French. Traditionally, it has been used to represent French royalty, and in that sense it is said to signify perfection, light, and life.
That's the long story.
The short story is that a bunch of Cajuns made the first Corvettes.
Once upon a time.....Mr. Chev Rolet came to america and design the first sports car name after his wife Ms. Corry Vette. The emblem is design by his wife and place on every Corvette ever since.
The End.
