I know that one member put the camera in the third brake light and I think Jon Pine drill a hole in the center of his license plate to mouont the camera .
Thanks for the info but I was trying to find the camera part# or manufactures name.. I would like to mount it in the third brake light but I am worried about moisture..

Ken King from Vette Essentials is a wiz with the camera stuff.
I'll look for the website I bought mine from. I have three cameras for my Yukon. One pointing to the hitch (with over 14" of lift, it's hard to see where you are backing...lol), the other is a rear view camera that mounts perfectly in the hole when the key cylinder was removed.... and the third one is in my enclosed trailer so I can see behind it.
A watherproof camera (lipstick style and waterproof) can be bought for about 130 bucks.
Again, I'll try to dig up the URL for the one I bought.
I mounted mine in the 3rd. brake light using forum member gbvette's excellent instructions.
I sealed around the camera with a thick gel epoxy when mounting through the lens and have had no problems with water. The camera itself is water resistant.
I also bought mine from mobilevideoforless.com
The model I bought is the CCDMC and lists for $199.95. Got them to come down to $190 shipped on it.
