New GM Runflats?
I know alot of fellow Vette drivers don't like the Runflats and I don't want to start a debate thread. I like them and am going to stay with them. My question is, does anyone know if the new runflats that are on the new C6 are or will be available for the C5 Vettes? Corvette Magazine said that they are much better than the old ones offered on the C5.
I know that the tires on the C6 are bigger than the C5 and that is why I am asking. Maybe a call to Tirerack will be in order.
What do you think?

Not the answer you wanted, but...the reality is, there are many excellent alternative brand runflat tires available in the stock 17/18 sizes already.
Michelin, Firestone, Yokohama, etc...all make vastly superior runflat tires to the OE EMT's, and they have been around for years. What you seem to want isn't anything new.
The new Goodyears are just finally catching up to the competition, and if you aren't too hung up on the Goodyear brand, you already have the choice of many better performing runflat tires you can get now.
The really good news of all this for most people, is that you can now get 18/19" runflat tires (previously unavailable)...perfect for those who've always wanted to upgrade wheel size but were unwilling to lose the runflat security.

Not sure if they will be making this tire in the 17 front and 18 rear for the C5.
