Many of the aftermarket tips slip over the originals and are held by a set screw. I had a set of those before I changed the entire exhaust system to Corsa.
I have an '02 coupe with stock exhaust....am interested in replacing the tips with something rounder, more "Corsa" like:
a. How hard is it to remove the stock tips (welded, yes?)?
b. Must the new ones be welded on as well?
c. Recommendations for brands/price.
Sorry, I had accidentally put this one the C6 Forum...
Thanks in advance to all.....
I just bought my "stock" '99 at Carlisle. The only thing I didn't like was the stock tips (black/ugly). Long-term plans are to buy a complete catback system. But until then, I decided to buy some stainless tips. While at Carlisle I stopped by West Coast Corvettes and bought their round tips. These just clip (spring steel clips) to the stock tips. I also drilled and inserted the supplied metal screws. It looks great to me. Sorry but I can't post picks until CF gets back up to speed.

I have a set of the round Corsa tips that are like new. The fit the oval stock exhaust by slipping over the ends and a set screw.
They were $119.00 new. If you want them $75 shipped.
