Hey Folks, I have been looking on line "ALL DAY" - well mostly all day - for a Remote/Radio operated C5, (preferably 2003), Convertible, Torch Red ext, Black interior. Haven't found it yet! If I wanted a C6 - they are out there all day! Any ideas of where I can look? I would even take any color that has black interior and I can have it painted.
I would prefer a remote controlled car but as a "LAST" resort would settle for a C5, Torch Red, black interior model car (non remote).
My first thought would be to search e-Bay. Not much you can't find there.
Also you might post over in the Die Casts & Collectibles section of the Forum. The people that hang out over there may be a better source for information of this type. Good luck.

You can get it in electric or nitro, and it's about 1/18 scale. HPI makes good stuff. The cool thing about their stuff is that their cars use pretty much the same foundation for any given line, so you can swap bodies if you want later. Or get multiple bodies and paint them differently.
For Christmas last year my wife bought me a red one with black interior (I was hoping for black). Anyway, when she wakes up I will ask her where she bought it.
Try any hobby shop or large toy store. I got 3 of the 1/18 scale 2003 Torch Red with black interrior coupes. I paid $20.00 for the last one I bought. Also Radio Shack may still have the 03 Aniversary RC cars, they are the small ones, about 4" long.

Radio Shack sells a 50th Anniversary Corvette p/n 60-4343 list $49.99.

in my case, i'm into nitro RC's and T-Maxx's...a friend got me a red C5 RC a couple of years ago...then once i'd traded for the 03, my wife had the local hobby shop custom paint a black C5 body for one of my nitro cars
No offense to anyone, but to be direct so that goseeeger understands the differences here ... If you want something "to look at", get it from Radio Shack. Because Radio Shack and other generic toy stores' "RC" models are garbage. If you want a real RC car to have fun with and that will look as beautiful and realistic as you want, get it from a genuine RC hobby store, or online. And stick with brands like HPI, Traxxas, etc. IMHO HPI makes the best "street" cars.
For my money the best RC cars for novices are from Tamiya. Stone simple instructions, and the best scale appearance on the market. Thier C5R is available as either a kit, or as a QD assembled ready to run setup.
Finding a triple black is easy - the red convertible with black interior is a hard find. I have searched ebay, hobbies.com, and no one has one! If you wanna sell yours - I am interested!
the anniversary is beige inside and outside is another kinda red - not torch red. I did check RS - they may have something closer to Christmas - but I wanted this one for my club car show that is in October.
