Help! Car Cranks - Won't Start

Help! Car Cranks - Won't Start
Drove to town and back this morning with no problems. Got back into car 15 min. later and won't start. Cranks fine, just won't attempt to fire off.
I had my vortex filter off along with the air bridge and coupler earlier in the day. I've also just added a tach light recently which I hooked into the tach wire under drivers side dash.
The only other mod I have done lately was add a relay to my electric water pump to control it with a toggle switch with ignition off. I tied into the igniter wire in the mtr. compartment fuse panel for the water pump relay.
I've checked all the fuses and they are O.K.
Can anybody give me some other suggestions on what might be wrong?

Fuel pump? Can you hear the pump making a noise when you turn the ignition on before you crank?

It's kind of like a buzzing (hum) noise that stays on for approx. 10 sec. then shuts off. This is the fuel pump running sound isn't it?
I appreciate it guys, any other suggestions?
