Default Front end clearance ?

How much clearance should a 98' Coupe have in the front facia area?
My front end scrapes constantly on my drive way even after adding A&A frame saver wheels. I was looking at someone elses C5 in a parking lot the other day and it looks like mine may have been lowered before I bought it. I was judging by observing the space in the front wheel well. The other car appeared to have a good inch or more in the wheel well then mine. From the ground to the actual fiberglass on the front facia not counting the rubber flap what is the stock clearnace?

Mine measures 7 15/16" @ middle of the front end. I have Goodyear GS-D3 tires 245/45ZR17, otherwise stock. Clearance at airdam = 4 1/16"

On my lowered 00 coupe with 265/35/18's on the front is 2-1/2" at center of the black rubber air dam. Does scrape on speed bumps and big pot holes.
