ouch! my garage door scratched my bumper (verticle line about 5 inches long and pretty deep)
do i have to get the whole bumper painted? if so, how much is damage? is there any other way than to paint the whole bumper? please help...
With all the major problems you are having (getting laid in a 'vette, what to name your 'vette, what pick up line to use while crusing in your 'vette...and now scratching your 'vette) I think you should just give it up and buy a Cavalier.

My 2 cents,
Did you name your scratch? Can you have sex in a scatched Vette? Is it a caucasian scratch? Sorry, but you've sort of asked for those responses.
The scratch can be painted but the whole panel has to be clear-coated. Anywhere from $300-$600. But just do what the rest of us do - take it to a body shop to find out.

Thanks. Jacksonville did fairly well. Lots of wind and rain and power outages, but compared to our friends further South - it was mild.
A good body shop can match your paint. I do take mine to my dealer because they happen to have a very good body shop and take pride in their work.

Thats it!!! ...the garage door named the car for him since he couldn't think of a name by himself!
yes...call me stupid. as we all know, the vette rear end sticks out in the middle more than the bottom. my garage sensor is located fairly low and came right down to hit the fat part of the bumper.
*sigh*
NO! i'm not gonna name my vette neither "scratch" nor "garage"!!!
