Default Headlight adjustment

My drivers side headlight won't close all the way. I've tried messing around some with the manual adjustment as well as the Torx screws that hold the cover on. It seems I've only made it worse. It just doesn't fit flush like the other side, and sometimes when I turn the lights on it won't pop up. Is there a way to adjust this or should I have a pro look at it?

The adjustment is tricky. Not only does the cover have adjustments but also the bracket under the cover that holds the cover has its own adjustments. Getting everything lined up is a PITA. I had my bulbs changed out last weekend and it took two guys at least 45 minutes to get it back together straight. (Of course that could have been because of the IQ level of the shop monkeys that were doing the work...) Good luck!

I've noticed when I turn the lights off the unit goes down just a hair to flush before coming all the way up, and when turning the lights off, it goes all the way down, then comes up just a bit so it isn't flush. Is this more than just an alignment problem?

I don't know about that problem, almost sounds like your gears are wearing out, but I'm no expert there. Maybe someone else will see it up top...
