I am looking at speakers for a 2001 convertible.. I purchased infinity Kappa 63.5i 3 way speakers to work with an Alpine IVA-D300..
The install company said I should stay with the 8'' Bose instead of swapping to 6.5 kappa's.. I also had a Rockford Fosgate amp and he told me not to use that either.. I need some other opinion’s.. I would think the Kappa would be much better than the factory system..
Before this gets moved to Audio/Electronics, I would suggest CDT speakers and either a JL or Phoenix Gold amp. IMO they are the best for the money. Of course there are many variables to a system.
Do you think I would need the amp? The IVA-D300 already comes with an amp.. It might be overkill but.. It is a nice looking amp.. I hate returning equipment.. I was told that 4x6 go in the back but some people are telling me 6.5.. I already have two sets of the Kappa's 6.5.
