Just installed a homelink garage opener this weekend in my 04 CE Vert and realized the top of the sunvisor had faded to a pale green color. Shale on the inside but green on the top. Assume from the top down sun.
Anyone else experienced this and how do you stop it from happening again once the originals are replaced?
Convertibles are made for dropping the top, aren't they?
Sorry to hear, but I don't have any suggestions to offer to keep it from happening again. You might check in the Car Care Products section of the Forum to see if anyone over there has anything to offer. I would like to think the dealer would replace these under warranty. Good luck!

Here is a solution for you.
Most interior shops will install leather in place of the 'fabric' that GM uses.
On our '04 we used a leather of shale color, then dyed the edges to match the Le Man's Blue.
On the '99 did the same, used Oak and dyed the edges Mag Red.
If you're car is that new, I'd be taking it back to the dealer and have them order new visors. Regardless of how often the top has been down, the material should be of higher quality than that. Don't even listen to a dealer that says it's a wear item. Just talk to them and find a dealer that will replace the visors.
